ABOUT ME

My name is Jessica. I live in Jacksonville, Florida with my husband Josh, son Judah, and German Shepherd Jax. 

On the outside you would know that I love people. I love getting to know people and figuring out what makes them tick. I cannot make a decision to save my life. I am always going back and forth with “what if’s.” I love Jesus and crave alone time with him at a coffee shop or on the beach. I enjoy a good book but, also can be found easily bored to sleep by them. I love running and many forms of exercise. I may be a little addicted to the endorphins it provides. When I don’t get to exercise, I can often be found having a pity party.

Josh and I have been married since November of 2013. We had a wedding on November 30th, but secretly eloped on November 6th! We only dated 3 months before he proposed and my amazing parents and aunts had the huge challenge of throwing us a wedding 3 months later! We have a son named Judah Benaiah. He was born on Mother’s Day 2020, amidst a pandemic, and came into the world as such a light. 

If you cracked me wide open, you would see a heart that has been broken and rebuilt by Christ. You would see a girl with a past she isn’t proud of, but a future that is redeemed because of Jesus. You’d see that I struggle with body image, resting, and anxiety. You’d see a mom who isn’t confident in anything she’s doing, but totally relying on God for daily strength and decision making. 

This blog is a delayed obedience to a call on my heart in 2017. I felt the nudge over and over throughout the last 4 years. But, here we are! Another opportunity for Grace. So, speaking of Grace, let’s grow in it together!
